Sno-Buds seek members ready to ride

Friday, January 25, 2013

The Merrimack Sno-Buds snowmobile club is alive and well. We’re now on Facebook, membership this season has increased, and we’re looking for more new members to join the fun.

Activities include:

Snowmobiling locally.

Day and longer trips north.

Sponsoring our annual snowmobile safety class with most often 50 students.

Giving back to the Merrimack community with donations to the home heating fund and sponsoring a child to attend summer camp.

Winter grooming and maintaining the walking trails in Horse Hill all season.

Having a float in the Merrimack winter parade.

Supporting N.H. Easter Seals at the annual N.H. Snowmobile Association Easter Seals Ride-in, most often the No. 1 club in the state with donations to Easter Seals.

All-round having fun.

A few facts include being a charter member of NHSA; contributing more than $285,000 to N.H. Easter Seals to date; honored by a Proclamation by Gov. Jeanne Shaheen for our contributions; and offering snowmobile rides at the Merrimack Winter Carnival.

If you would like to join us whether you’re just getting interested in snowmobiling and want more information or a long-seasoned rider, we would love to have you.

Feel free to browse our website, www.snobuds.com, visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pages/Merrimack-Sno- Buds/359274340837732 or see our online calendar at www.snobuds.com/plans.htm.

You can alls attend an informal meeting in the winter months at Merrimack Town Hall, meetings start at 7:30 p.m., or stop by for a snowmobile ride at Wasserman Park during the upcoming Winter Carnival. We’re a friendly group, so stop on by.
