Merrimack puts Keene on ice

David Downie and Chris Kinney scored two goals each and both assisted on another as Merrimack High School cruised to an 8-0 Division II hockey win over Keene at the West Side Arena in Manchester on Monday.
Cal Lezama also had two goals for the Tomahawks, while Chris Fortin and Tyler Caron (one assist) chipped in with one goal each.
Rutger Tupper, Pat Parker, Erik Glendye (two) and Dominic Valluzzi (two) all recorded assists.
All three goalies saw action for Merrimack (10-1), with Alex Scanlon stopping six shots, Bret Glendye denying seven shots and Alexa McWhinnie closing it out with six saves.
