HOCKEY
Jan. 9: Merrimack 6,
Pelham/Windham 1
Connor Powell had two goals and three assists to lead the Tomahawks. Single goal scorers for Merrimack were Josh Roy, Dom Valluzzi, Mark Feeney and Tyler Brewster. Jason Fortin and Valluzzi had two assists each for the winners, with single assists from Shane Foye, Feeney and Roy.

Securing pins for the Cavaliers were Zach McPherson (132), Wyatt Farwell (145), Zach Jennings (152), Andrew Butler (160), Kayne Robert (170), Nate Ashe (195), and Hisham Hafez (285). Also posting a win for HB was Nick McPherson (120). Tomahawk wrestlers collecting pins were Kyle Newman at 113, Mitchell McMahon at 138, and Zack Pickard at 220. Other Tomahawks posting wins were Connor Vance at 126 and Joe Rodriguez at 182.
GIRLS TRACK
Jan. 13: Merrimack
takes third at UNH
TOP FIVE: 1. Goffstown 35.5; 2. Windham 33; 3. Merrimack 30.5; 4. Prospect Mountain 30; 5. Phillips Exeter 27. LOCAL WINNERS: Merrimack: Sonja Caesar won the shot put with a throw of 29-7. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Merrimack: Ingrid Havron was second in the 1,000- meter run and Allison Stankiewicz finished fourth; Abby Smith and Lauren Goodspeed were second and third, respectively, in the 55 hurdles; Smith was also fourth in the high jump; Ashley Grassini finished second in the shot put.
BOYS TRACK
Jan. 13: Merrimack
finishes fifth at UNH
TOP FIVE: 1. Manchester Memorial 50; 2. Phillips Exeter 46; 3. Windham 34; 4. Bishop Brady 30; 5. Merrimack 21. HIGHLIGHTS: Merrimack: Alex Dano was fourth in the 600-meter run; Steven Sexton and Connor Pickett were fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 1,000; Riley Clark and Austin Bannister were fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 3,000; Taber Yim took sixth in the 55 hurdles and high jump; Nikolai Yakuboff was fifth in the shot put; Merrimack finished fourth in the 4x160 relay.
