Please don’t litter, recycle instead
Friday, December 16, 2011
To the Editor:
While driving around Merrimack, one can’t help but notice the amount of trash along the sides of the roads.
Several people and organizations have “adopted” streets in town and make an attempt to keep them “litter free,” but it would be easier for all of us if we made a concerted effort not to toss trash on the streets.
If we take the items home and recycle them at the Merrimack Recycling Center, the town will receive money for the items. Less trash means less expense as well as helping to keep Merrimack clean. If we all chose to keep the streets clean in front of our own houses, it would go a long way towards achieving this goal. Thanks for all your efforts.
