To the Editor:

Dear Lioness Club,

Thanks to you our family Christmas was wonderful! Like many of us nowadays, our family is working hard to stay “above water.” The extras are gone and even the essentials are hard to come by. That’s why your generous help turned our Christmas from an explanation into a celebration.

The mittens, scarves and hats are perfect and so needed. The warm PJs are wonderful since we keep our heat down low. The clothes you gave will mean that my children will have something new to wear when school starts again just like the other kids.

We all played the Clue game on Christmas day and thought about how lucky we are to live in such a great town with such generous, giving people like you.

Thanks for giving us a beautiful holiday and a hopeful start to the new year.
