Skating rink is open
Friday, February 10, 2012
Families and hockey players have been honing their skating skills at the Merrimack ice rink.
The ice skating rink, located behind the tennis courts on O’Gara Drive, is open for the season. The recent weather conditions have made it possible to prepare the rink for ice skating. The rink is open to the public, weather permitting, seven days a week. Lights will be on from 4-10 p.m.
A group of volunteers will groom the ice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, when the rink will be closed to skaters at 8:30 p.m. Current ice conditions will be posted on the Merrimack Department of Public Works Facebook page. Call the DPW at 423-8551 or the Parks and Recreation office at 882-1046 with any questions.
