Richard ‘Dick’ J. Hudon

Richard “Dick” J. Hudon, 69, of Merrimack, died on Tuesday, February 21, at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, Mass.
Dick was born on December 31, 1943, in Manchester; the son of the late Leo and Beatrice (Lemay) Hudon.
He was employed by Energy North/Keyspan in Manchester for 43 years and Hudon’s Barber Shop in Manchester. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching and mentoring his grandchildrens’ different sports teams, including baseball, basketball and hockey. He was a respected coach of American Legion Baseball, CYO Basketball and also coached MYA Baseball and Basketball in Merrimack. He was a member of American Legion Post 98 and loved spending time with family and life long friends.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Arline Hudon; daughter-in-law, Margeret Hudon; son-in-law, Tim Guilmette; 7 grandchildren, Thomas Hudon, Gregory Guilmette, Bryan Guilmette, Anthony Boldini, Todd Tessier, Travis Tessier and Katie Matthews, all of Merrimack; a brother Jack Hudon and his wife Lorett, of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter Michelle, in 2009; 2 sons Thomas in 2006 and Richard in 1997.
Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack,, NH on Friday, February 24 from 4-7 p.m. A service will take place during calling hours at 6 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.
