The Merrimack High School volleyball team may have come up short of its ultimate goal this season, but the Tomahawks still had quite a year.

Merrimack was the No. 1 seed in the Division I tournament, and lost just twice all year – during the regular season to Salem and in the championship match to Hollis/Brookline.

The Tomahawks were rewarded for their season by having both the Player and Coach of the Year in Division I.

Maggie Kenney received Player the Year honors, while Merrimack coach Tammy Lambrou was named the division’s Coach of the Year. Kenney was first-team all state, while Catherina Kazazian received second-team honors and Bree McCarthy was named honorable mention.

Following is a complete list of Division I all-state players:

First team: Natalie Wingate (Bishop Guertin), Rebecca Noyes (Bishop Guetin), Molly Wotton (Dover), Jess Williamson (Goffstown), Kelsey Berry (Hollis/Brookline), Maggie Kenney (Merrimack), Emily Boots (Nashua North), Brenna McNally (Pinkerton), Jackie Cone (Salem).

Second team: Laina Somero (Alvirne), Abigail Leberman (Concord), Abby Harte (Dover), Cassy deRochemont (Exeter), Kristyn Glover (Hollis/Brookline), Catherine Kazazian (Merrimack), Bridget McCarthy (Nashua North), Nicole Marcotte (Nashua South), Riley McKechnie (Pinkerton).

Honorable mention: Gav Risman-Jones (Goffstown), Ari Creighton (Hollis/Brookline), Bree McCarthy (Merrimack), Steph Long (Salem), Jaden Evans (Spaulding), Michelle Davis (Winnacunnet).

Player of the Year: Maggie Kenney, Merrimack.

Coach of the Year: Tammy Lambrou, Merrimack.

JV Coach of the Year: Sarah Stank, Goffstown.
