BOYS BASKETBALL

Jan. 6: Merrimack 67, Exeter 45

The Tomahawks jumped out to a 45-21 lead at halftime and never looked back. Dimitri Floras led Merrimack with 17 points. Tyler Gendron scored 16 points in the win. The Tomahawks are 6-1 on the season.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Jan. 10: Timberlane 61, Merrimack 28

The visiting Tomahawks dropped to 1-5 on the year after falling behind 20-4 after one period. Kelly Watkinson and Athena Rondeau had nine points apiece to lead the locals.

HOCKEY

Jan. 7: Dover 3, Merrimack 2 (OT)

Connor Powell scored both of the Tomahawks goals, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Dover in overtime. Dom Valluzi had two assists and Jason Fortin had an assist in the loss. Brett Glendye made 20 saves in net for Merrimack who fell to 4-1.

WRESTLING

Jan. 4: Hollis Brookline 45, Merrimack 21

The Cavaliers improved to 3-1 win with pin victories from Kyle Ducharme (113), Zach McPherson (120), Will Labadie (132), Brandon Rocha (152), Casey Quinn (160), and Zach Migneault (285).

Jake McPherson (138), Forrest Coon-Roberts (170), and Nate Ashe (195) each won matches for the Cavaliers as well.

Merrimack winners were Ben Cronin (106), Brandon Dine (126), Elias Kim (145), Lucas Gardenour (182) and Zach Pickard (220).

Jan. 7: Concord 67, Merrimack 6

The Tomahakws dropped a tough one against Concord, recording just one win on the day. Elias Kim scored a pinning win for Merrimack at 145 pounds, while Brandon Dine fell three points short in a close 126-pound match.
