BASEBALL

Dodgers looking for pitchers

The Merrimack Dodgers of the Granite State Over-30 Baseball League are looking for pitchers for the 2012 baseball season. If you are an experienced pitcher who will be at least 30 years of age at some point in 2012, please contact assistant manager John Saraceno at saraceno21@aol.com or call 571-8361.

GSBL logo contest

Do you have what it takes to create a new logo for Granite State Over-30 Baseball League? As part of the GSBL’s 20th year celebration, the league is paying $100 for a new logo. The winning logo will be selected by the league board from all submissions, and in the case of a tie, the executive board will decide.

The creator of the winning submission will receive $100 in cash as payment for the logo. The new logo doesn’t have to contain the wording “The Granite State Over-30 League” but should at least say “GSBL” if the full league name is not incorporated into the logo. The new logo is encouraged to be in the tradition of existing red, white and blue league logos, if possible (see examples at www.gsbl.net), but it can deviate from the traditional elements, if necessary. Only the winning submission will become property of the league. Logo submissions should be made by April 7 by sending the logo as an e-mail attachment to saraceno21@aol.com (in 3 different sizes if possible, small, medium and large). Please let John Saraceno know if you have any questions at saraceno21@aol.com or by calling 571-8361.

Donate equipment

Do you have any new or used baseball or softball equipment you are looking to donate or get rid of? Please feel free to call 472-3170 or e-mail him at rscatch9@comcast.net.
