John Snow EMS Educator of the Year
CONCORD – The Committee of Merit of the NH Fire Service & Emergency Medical Service presented the 2014 The New Hampshire Emergency Medical Services Educator of the Year Award to Jonathan Snow of the New England EMS Institute and Bedford Fire Department. The award is sponsored by the New Hampshire Bureau of EMS, Medical Control Board and their Education Committee.
The EMS Educator of the Year Award is presented to an EMS educator who excels in his/her contributions and commitment to New Hampshire’s EMS education and training. It is a recognition of excellence and accomplishments that have assisted in improving the New Hampshire Trauma and EMS System.
First presented in 2001, the EMS Educator of the Year has been presented each year since. Snow was recognized for his contributions at the 23rd Annual Fire Service and Emergency Medical Services Awards held at the Concord Audi on Monday, Sept. 29.
The Committee of Merit Awards program was started in 1987 to recognize outstanding acts of heroism, courage, and performance beyond the call of duty. In the fall of 2005 a cooperative event was initiated to honor those of the NH Emergency Medical Service for acts of heroism and those who demonstrate exemplary service and accomplishments.
The New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training and EMS Commission administers the program through the NH Fire Academy.
