Bedford painter set to participate in studio tour

Elizabeth “Betsy” Craumer, Bedford pastel painter and teacher, will open her studio to participate in New Hampshire’s Open Doors tour Nov. 8-9.

This annual state-wide event and shopping opportunity offers some of the finest fresh agricultural products available in the state along with the chance to meet and greet many of New Hampshire’s highly skilled craftspeople, artisans and artists. “Made in New Hampshire” is the theme of this self-guided experience and enables visitors to participate in a pre-holiday shopping season.

Craumer’s studio, located at 9 Checkerberry Lane in Bedford, will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day of the weekend and will feature local and regional landscapes rendered in the luminous pastel medium. Subjects include farms, fields, marshes and streams as well as seascapes.

At present, Craumer’s work can be seen locally at the Noa Gallery in Groton, Mass., and in the Sunapee Landing Trading Company in Sunapee, as well as from time to time in many juried shows throughout New England. All paintings are framed and are ready to hang. Stop in, enjoy some refreshments and talk with the artist at work.
