New year, new local exhibit: Jana Lamberti
For the month of January, Sullivan Framing & Fine Art Gallery in Bedford will be featuring the artwork of former New Hampshire resident, Jana Lamberti. Lamberti works exclusively with silk art and design. Lamberti was raised in Goffstown, graduating from Goffstown High School in 1999. She now resides in Mexico City with her husband and three children. Although Lamberti has exhibited her work in several exhibitions around the country, this will be Lamberti’s first formal exhibit in her home state.
Lamberti’s silk pieces are bright, rich in color and fresh for the new year. Her work is inspired by her Mexican surroundings and add a punch of color to an otherwise colorless January. The title of her exhibit is “Vermillion.” The exhibit is open Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturdays 11 a.m.-3 p.m. through the entire month of January at Sullivan Framing & Fine Art Gallery, 15 N. Amherst Road, Bedford.
Lamberti’s upbringing in Goffstown initiated and shaped her roots in and love of the arts. Her teachers in the Goffstown Area High School’s art department proved vital in guiding and forming this fledgling artist, who took as many art classes as were available. Lamberti considers Goffstown High’s Ava-Lynn Lane to be her first artistic mentor, and still speaks with admiration of Lane’s instruction and encouragement during Lamberti’s time as an art honors student.
