Nominations sought for NH Governor’s Arts Awards

The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts is seeking nominations for the 2015 Governor’s Arts Awards as part of its 50-year celebration of supporting the arts in New Hampshire.

The awards, which are nonmonetary, recognize contributions made by individuals, organizations and communities that have reached distinguished levels of achievement as they support the cultural life of the state.

Categories include Arts Education, Community Spirit, Cultural Access Leadership, Distinguished Arts Leadership, Folk Heritage, Individual Arts Patron and Lotte Jacobi Living Treasure, a lifetime achievement award.

To be eligible, individuals must reside in New Hampshire or have made significant contributions to the arts while living in New Hampshire. Nominated organizations, cities and towns must be located in New Hampshire.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, June 1. For the first time, nominations are being accepted exclusively online.
