DECA club participates in conference

Bedford High School’s DECA club flew down to Orlando to participate in DECA’s 27th International Career Development Conference, with 15,000 students competing from all over the world from April 25­-29.

Bedford represented the largest chapter from New Hampshire bringing 27 students to participate in competitions consisting of topics ranging from marketing, hospitality and tourism, finance, or business management and administration.

Students were also given the opportunity to participate in a career development or leadership academy.

Bedford High School is proud to announce junior, Jack Troyer, and sophomore, Yiefi Zheng, placed in the top 10 on their tests for their respected events, Sports Marketing Series and Principals of Finance. Along with those finalists, senior Ty Benson placed in the top 10 in his role play of Financial Consulting. The chapter as a whole won the Army Luncheon Largest Chapter in the state of New Hampshire for having over 175 members made up of students, alumni, and professional members.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe (deca.org). Bedford High School DECA is the fastest growing chapter in New Hampshire at the high school level.
