ONLINE ACCESS TO FREE MOVIES, MUSIC

The Bedford Public Library now has public availability to thousands of movies, televi­sion shows, music albums and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoop­ladigital.com). Bedford card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thou­sands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers. THURSDAY THEATER IN THE LIBRARY

Come to the Bedford Public Library on the second Thursday of the month to watch a recent movie in Blu-ray on the big screen. There are two showings: 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Popcorn will be provided. Free. Registration required. Children younger than 13 must be accompa­nied by a parent or guardian.

Do you like to play Scrabble or other word games? Join other word game enthusiasts at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.

MUSEUM PASSES

Use your Bedford library card and PIN to reserve a museum pass online to a wide variety of museums in New Hampshire and Boston. Passes are picked up at the library.

ONLINE LANGUAGE LEARNING

The language learning ser­vice Transparent Language Online is available through the Bedford Public Library’s website. Use audio and visual tools to learn essen­tial phrases, specific words and even a foreign alphabet in your language of choice. Transparent Language also has a Language and Culture Blog teaching a country’s culture, introducing terms and providing communi­ties of other learners. The program can also be used on your smartphone to learn on the go.

E-BOOK SERVICE

The 3M Cloud Library includes the latest best-sellers for kids, teens and adults, as well as a good selection of nonfiction which your librarians have chosen for you. The new service can be searched through the li­brary’s online catalog, where you can check out or place a hold on a title. Then, simply open the 3M Cloud Library app on a reader, tablet, com­puter or smart phone & the book is available for reading. The library staff thanks the Samuel P. Hunt Foundation and the Bedford Library Foundation for contributing funding for this new service.

E-BOOKS FOR KIDS

"E-Books for e-Kids" has animated talking picture books, including books to learn French, Spanish and other languages, plus puzzles and games. Visit the library or website for more information.
