Nominations being sought for 2015 Susan B. Anthony Award

MANCHESTER – The YWCA NH is accepting nominations for the 2015 Susan B. Anthony Award. This annual award recog­nizes the contributions of outstanding women who live or work in New Hampshire and exemplify the ideals of Susan B. Anthony.

Anthony, who believed passionately in and worked for civil and political rights, equality, and dignity for all people, is most notably rec­ognized for her activist ef­forts to obtain the right to vote for women.

The Susan B. Anthony Award recipient is recog­nized for her contributions to other women and the community and the way in which she has demonstrat­ed one or more of Susan B. Anthony’s qualities. These values can be demonstrated in any aspect of her life: per­sonal, professional, volun­teer, etc.

The deadline to sub­mit nominations is Aug. 14. Nomination forms and guidelines for nominating a deserving candidate are available at www.ywcanh.org.
