Bedford Lions sponsor Kids K Race

BEDFORD – The Bedford Lions Club is again sponsoring the Kids K Race at Bedford Olde Town Day scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, at Riley Field located at the intersection of Nashua and County Roads, Bedford.

The Bedford Lions Kid K Race is in its 15th year.

Age groups range from 3- and 4-year-olds who run 50 meters, then the 5- and 6-year-old group runs 100 meters, followed by 1K run for the 7- through 9-year-old group, concluding with 1K run for the 10- through 12-year-old group. The perimeter of the Riley baseball field is approximately 1K.

All finishers receive a running bib and finishing medal; and the first place boy and girl winners in each category receive a trophy.

The entire race is completed within an hour, and awards are presented immediately after the race at the Lion’s registration booth.

Registration forms are available at the Bedford Library, Bedford Town Office or Bedford public schools.

Registration fee to run for fun is $5.00 with proceeds to benefit Lions’ charities. Registration is on race day at Riley Field starting at 10 a.m. The race begins at 12 p.m.
