Granite State CrossFit to host fundraiser
MANCHESTER – Granite State CrossFit will hold a fundraiser for service members who have been injured in the line of duty.
Proceeds from the Bust a Move for Heroes 5K, 10K and CrossFit Challenge will be donated to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project and will support a full range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.
More than 52,000 servicemen and women have been injured in recent military conflicts. In addition to physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The 20 programs and services provided by WWP are structured to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement.
Bust a Move for Heroes will be held May 21 at Arms Park in Manchester. The race kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and the festival continues until 3 p.m. More information at bustamoveforheroes.com or facebook.com/bamforheroes.
