UpReach volunteers sought

GOFFSTOWN – UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc. has a need for volunteers to help in the barn or provide support in therapeutic horseback riding and driving lessons. Barn volunteers will provide assistance with turning out horses, mucking stalls, sweeping, scrubbing water buckets, and cleaning tack.

Lesson volunteers will need to attend a required training session from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 17, or from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21. There will be an optional Horse 101 clinic from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 (prerequisite volunteer training session). Volunteers may still attend Horses 101 if signed up for/attending the volunteer training on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Volunteers should be at least 14 years old and able to walk with jogging mixed in for 40-60 minutes to volunteer in lessons. No prior horse experience necessary. For questions or to sign up, contact Liz at 497-2343 or via email at Liz@upreachtrc.org.
