Noted author featured at library Fall Gala on Nov. 1

"I never turn down a library" said Andre Dubus III when asked to be the Bedford Library Foundation’s Fall Gala guest speaker.

Described as a "dazzling talent" by Kirkus Review and as eloquent in person as in writing, Dubus speaks about the path from early violence to finding a voice through literature.

Andre is the author of six books, including "The House of Sand and Fog," which was a National Book Award finalist, an Oprah Book Club pick, a No. 1 New York Times bestseller and the basis for the Oscar-nominated motion picture.

Library supporters are invited to the Fall Gala, with wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation with Dubus, on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Bedford Public Library, lower level. Tickets are $25 each, and are available at the front desk of the Bedford Public Library.
