Women’s Club greets students, welcomes members
At a luncheon meeting of the Bedford Women’s Club on Sept. 24, club members greeted two non-traditional
students to whom the club presented scholarships in 2015.
The Club gave a scholarship to Karen Pepin, who is currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire’s College of Online Learning in pursuit of her Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education.
The Club also awarded a scholarship to Gisella Lopez, who graduated from Rivier University summa cum laude in May 2015, to pursue her master’s degree in teaching mathematics at University of New Hampshire. Both women are mothers who live in Bedford.
The Bedford Women’s Club is open to women who are interested in fostering social and cultural relationships as well as providing scholarships and charitable contributions.
Active membership is a category appropriate for women who can attend midday meetings. Associate membership is a category available to women whose commitments prevent them from attending monthly meetings. Associate members may participate in club groups and serve on committees.
Established in 1905, the Bedford Women’s Club provides an opportunity for newcomers to the area, as well as established residents, to meet socially and pursue interests.
General membership meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month from September through May unless otherwise designated. There is usually a guest speaker at the monthly meeting.
The Bedford Women’s Club invites new members. Officers and board members will be present to greet attendees. Prospective members should visit bedfordwomensclub.org and click on Membership.
Send questions to email@example.com and the Membership Chair will respond.
