Historical Society honors veterans

BEDFORD – On Wednesday, Nov. 11, the Bedford Historical Society and the Students for Liberty, a Bedford High School organization, will joined together to honor our veterans.

The program will be conducted by Nicole Earnshaw, co-chair of the Students of Liberty. The keynote speaker is Bernie Ruhin, a World War II Marine veteran.

Patriotic music will be provided by the Bedford High band under the direction of Kelsey Rienzo, and the color guard will be provided by Boy Scouts of America.

Members of the Students for Liberty will introduce the veterans attending the program. Six "Quilts of Valor" created by members of the Bedford Friendship Quilt Guild will be presented by Guild member Connie Morin.

Light refreshments will be served at the conclusion.
