Bedford Men’s Club hosting charity Christmas tree sale

The Bedford Men’s Club is hosting its annual Christmas Tree sale at the Bedford Village Shops on Rt. 101 starting the Saturday afternoon after Thanksgiving.

This holiday tradition has been the main club fundraiser for many years. The New Hampshire-grown trees are for sale in the afternoons, evenings and on weekends in December until they are gone.

The Christmas tree sale is open from 4- 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on weekends.

Members of the club man the tree sale each day to help raise money for worthy causes. The money is distributed to programs in Bedford that help support youth sports, education, scholarships and programs that make Bedford a better place to live.

Recent programs that have benefited from the club’s fundraising have been the Bedford Bobcats, Destination Imagination, Bedford Police Department Self Defense for Women program and the Bedford Crew Club.

The club has also supported the Bedford Barracudas swim team, Memorial School, Joppa Hill Educational Farm and supported our soldiers through Operation Care for Troops.

Other programs are supported such as the US First program, scholarships for graduating senior high school students from Bedford, Stand By Me at Ross A Lurgio School and many other programs in town. In 2015 alone the BMC has helped over 30 organizations and projects in Bedford through the members fundraising.

Any man over the age of 21 who lives or works in Bedford is invited to attend a meeting. For further information please check our website at bedfordmensclub.com.
