Brookline Lions Club, Fire Department holding toy drive

The Brookline Lions Club and Brookline Fire Department will conduct a toy drive to benefit children and families in Brookline and surrounding communities.

New, unwrapped toys, and gift cards for The Gap, Kohl’s, Target, Sears, Sports Authority, Modell’s, Toadstool and Michaels, as well as other local businesses, would be appreciated.

Several families have older children. Gift cards allow the older children to choose their own gifts.

Wrapping paper and tape are welcome contributions, as well.

Items may be dropped off at Town Hall starting at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 6. Other drop-off locations will be the post office and Absolute Mechanical.

Join the Lions Club and Fire Department for warm drinks, cookies and treats from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the fire station meeting room for gift drop-offs. The last day for contributions will be Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Gifts will be collected and distributed prior to Friday, Dec. 25.
