Local man becomes SCORE mentor
Fritz Auman, of Bedford, was named by the Merrimack Valley Chapter of SCORE as a member of the volunteer nonprofit organization and a certified small business mentor.
SCORE, an arm of the U.S. Small Business Administration, is a national association with more than 13,000 volunteers. Its members provide no-cost business advice and counseling to existing small businesses and to those wishing to start new businesses.
Auman, who holds a BS in engineering physics from Loyola University in Baltimore and an MS in engineering management from Northeastern University in Boston, spent 43 years in high tech, including computer system design and management, for companies such as General Electric and DEC.
The Merrimack Valley NH Chapter of SCORE (merrimackvalley.score.org), which covers Nashua, Manchester, Concord and the surrounding areas, has about 70 current and former business executives available to provide free, confidential, one-on-one business counseling and training workshops for area startups and existing businesses.
