Local pets get into holiday spirit with photos with Santa
BEDFORD – Who says animals can’t get into the holiday spirit?
On Saturday, Dec. 5, The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire had dogs and cats of all sizes and ages lining up to meet Santa. The result? Adorable pet photos with Santa captured by talented photographer Allison Sica, of Kiss the Bride Photography.
In only five hours, the event raised $800 for The League to continue helping pets and the people that care for them.
"We are so grateful to Kiss the Bride Photography for donating their time and expertise," said Michelle Chergey, ARL-NH events coordinator.
"Per popular demand, we will very likely have more pet photo events in 2016," Chergey said. "It was amazing to see so many of the pets adopted from the League return for their fancy photos. It put everyone in a good mood, from the volunteers who ran the event, the pet owners, and most importantly, the pets themselves."
The League receives no state or federal funding, and is dependent on donations, event revenue, sponsors and partners.
Every donation makes a difference; if you were unable to attend the event, but would like to make a tax-deductible donation for the holidays, visit www.rescueleague.org/donate.
