Scholarship applications from the Bedford Women’s Club

The Bedford Women’s Club scholarship applications are now available to high school seniors who are Bedford residents, as well as to Bedford women, who are seeking a post-secondary degree.

Both applications can be found by going to and clicking on "BWC Scholarships." Directions for downloading the applications and mailing the applications are given.

Completed applications for scholarships, including attachments, must be received by April 1.

The criteria for a high school senior include scholarship (transcript required), extra-curricular activities, community service and financial need.

The criteria for women who are nontraditional students include admission to a program in an accredited school, personal statement, financial need, community involvement and work experience.

Active Membership is a category appropriate for women who can attend midday meetings. Associate Membership is a category available to Bedford women whose commitments prevent them from attending monthly meetings. Associate Members may participate in club interest groups and serve on committees.

Established in 1905, the Bedford Women’s Club provides an opportunity for newcomers to the area, as well as established residents, to meet socially and pursue many interests.

General membership meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month from September through May unless otherwise designated. There is usually a guest speaker at the monthly meeting.

Prospective members should visit and click on Membership. Send questions to and the membership chair will respond.
