The Craftworker’s Guild opens Spring Craft Shop
BEDFORD – The Craftworker’s Guild announce this year’s Spring Craft Shop, which will take place from Thursday, April 28, through Saturday, May 7, at the Kendall House, Bedford. Just in time for Mother’s Day and other spring events, the seasonal shop will be open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
More than 60 Guild member artisans and craftspeople are participating in this year’s Spring Craft Shop.
"It is said that good things come in small packages. In this case, the package is the Kendall House – and what treasure it holds. The variety, quality and beautiful work of our members make our fairs a very special event to visit. Come and see what the Craftworkers’ Guild members have created this spring," said Guild member Susan Kroehl.
The Craftworkers’ Guild is proud to offer customers a wide variety of high quality crafts. Work presented in the Spring Craft Shop is juried by the Guild to maintain a high standard of unique, best-quality offerings. Many items are one-of-a-kind and include seasonal decor, photography, fine art and prints, cards, gourmet treats, shaker boxes, woodworking, fiber and fabric, sewn and knitted specialties, stained and fused glass art, mixed media, jewelry in several medias, doll clothes and more.
In response to the requests of many Craftworkers’ Guild fans, the shop will now be open one hour later each evening, closing at 5 p.m. rather than 4 p.m. to give visitors a bit more time to get a head start on their shopping for seasonal decor and spring events like Mothers Day, Fathers Day, weddings and graduations.
The Guild will also hold Gourmet and Goodie weekends with homemade items for sale in the Spring Shop on the weekend of April 30-May 1, and Saturday, May 7. Spring Fling Night offers evening shopping hours on Thursday, May 8, with treats and surprises for visitors.
The Spring Craft Shop takes place in the historic Kendall House at 5 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford, located behind the Bedford Public Library. Parking is free and plentiful. Visit our website www.craftworkersguild.org or Facebook for updates and a sampling of crafts.
