Bedford’s radio station welcomes show proposals
BEDFORD – WBNH-LP, the low-power FM radio station owned and operated by the town of Bedford, is accepting proposals for new radio shows. All types of shows will be considered, talk or music. Broadcasting experience is not required but a familiarity with computers is a plus.
If you are a Bedford resident with a passion for a topic or a certain style of music, the station will help you develop it into a radio program. The studios are located at 10 Meetinghouse Road, in the same building as Bedford Community Television.
"Doing a show on the radio is a lot of fun, but it’s also a lot of work," says station manager Harry Kozlowski. "So the most important thing we are looking for are people willing to make the commitment to produce their shows."
Shows can be weekly or monthly, or even just a one-time program. Proposals will be considered as they come in but the station only has the capacity to produce so many shows each week.
WBNH, known as Bedford 105.1 "Public Safety Radio…and More!" has been on the air since February and plays a format of alternative/pop with a mix of public service announcements, community events, government programming and Bedford High School sports programming.
Station manager Harry Kozlowski can be reached at 472-5242, ext. 293, but the best method to submit program proposals is by email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
