NHES to host job and resource fair

CONCORD – New Hampshire Employment Security is hosting the Manchester Job and Resource Fair on Thursday, June 16, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral at 650 Hanover St., Manchester. A list of participating employers will be available the day of the event.

Whether job seekers are looking to re-enter the workforce or make a career change, they will find many new employment prospects at the fair. Those interested in expanding their network with new contacts and meet recruiters from a variety of private- and public-sector employers are encouraged to attend this networking and hiring event.

"New Hampshire Employment Security’s job and resource fairs, which connect New Hampshire’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are an important part of our efforts to expand middle class opportunity and keep our economy moving in the right direction, and I’d like to thank New Hampshire Employment Security and participating employers for working together to make this fair possible," Gov. Maggie Hassan said.

"The Manchester Job and Resource Fair will bring together local businesses and our community’s skilled workforce to help businesses grow and positively impact New Hampshire’s economic vitality," said NHES Commissioner George Copadis.

NHES provides free services, resources, and tools to assist both job seekers and employers with the entire job search process, hiring and employment needs. NHES has services available online and onsite to assist job seekers including the Job Match System, internet access, local papers, employment counseling and career assessments, as well as workshops on job searching, resume writing and interviewing techniques.
