Entries sought for Loonie Awards
CONCORD – The New Hampshire Travel Council is accepting entries for the Loonie Awards, a professional awards program designed to recognize the most creative and effective examples of New Hampshire tourism promotion.
The competition is open to any organization, company or individual who creates and/or produces New Hampshire tourism marketing materials, including attractions, lodging properties, chambers of commerce, marketing agencies, design firms and printers. There are categories for virtually every facet of tourism promotion: print advertising, direct mail, broadcast, copywriting, graphic design, website design and more.
"With such an abundance of natural beauty, it’s no surprise that tourism is New Hampshire’s second-largest industry," New Hampshire Travel Council Chairman Gregg Pitman said, "but it might surprise people to know how much creativity and enterprise goes into making it so."
The entry deadline is Friday, Aug. 5, with an early bird deadline of Monday, July 11. Awards will be presented Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
Entry fees and awards night tickets are discounted for New Hampshire Travel Council members.
Rules, deadlines and entry forms can be found at www.nhtravelcouncil.com/loonies.
