Talk on Lyme at market

BEDFORD – Each week, the Bedford Farmers Market hosts more than 30 vendors who bring produce, meat, eggs, cheese, baked goods and locally-grown and homemade products. From 3-6 p.m. stroll through the market in the parking lot of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, and talk to the people who are growing, making and providing your food.

On Tuesday, June 28, speak with David Hunter, co-chairman of the Bedford Lyme Disease Council and facilitator for the Greater Manchester Lyme Disease Support Group as well as the NH Lyme Group for Teens and Young Adults. Hunter will be available from 3-6 p.m. to answer questions regarding this disease and give tips on how to stay safe while enjoying outdoor activities.

Also at the market, listen to the music of Matt Vincent and Cow Hampshire while sampling some of the creations of Roots Catering, the market’s guest chef. The guest chef creates a dish from produce and local products available at the market.

Bring the kids and enjoy crafts while supporting your local farmers. For more information on this family-friendly weekly event find the market on Facebook at
