Christmas tree sale benefits Bedford Men’s Club charities

The Bedford Men’s Club is hold its annual Christmas tree sale at the Bedford Village Shops on Route 101 starting Saturday, Nov. 26.

This holiday tradition has been the main club fundraiser for many years. The New Hampshire-grown trees will continue to be for sale in December until they’re sold out. Hours are 4-9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. weekends.

The money is distributed to programs in Bedford that help support youth sports, education, scholarships and others.

Recent programs that have benefited are the Bedford Bobcats, Destination Imagination, Bedford Food Pantry and DECA. The club has also supported the Joppa Hill Educational Farm and Operation Care for Troops, and its own program for Bedford residents with care packages for military stationed overseas. In 2015 alone, the club helped more than 30 organizations and projects in Bedford.

Any man older than 21 who lives or works in Bedford is invited to attend a meeting. The club meets at Shorty’s at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month.
