Becky Herbert, Town of Bedford Planning Director spoke at Bedford Rotary April 3rd about what is coming to Bedford – the market and main mixed use development at the former Macy’s site, 133 unit apt. building at former Wayfarer site, Bedford Mall additions, a new Old Bedford Road Assisted Living & Memory Care Facility, and of course the widening of Route 101 into 5 lanes the center lane a green median. The Bow Lane Workforce apartments & former Shorty’s renovation is pending Planning Board Review. Bedford’s current population is 22,458. Median household income is $127,941, the second highest in NH. About 20% of residents commute to Massachusetts. Becky urged residents to voice their input on the town’s Master Planning website as the 2020 MP draft plan is now under review.
