American Red Cross seeking ‘hero’ nominations

CONCORD – American Red Cross New Hampshire is seeking nominations for the 2014 Heroes Breakfast.

The event recognizes individuals or groups in the state who have made a difference in the lives of others by performing acts of courage or selflessly giving time and efforts to benefit others.

“Too often, local heroes go unnoticed. The Red Cross in New Hampshire wants to recognize and honor these individuals,” said Maria White, CEO of American Red Cross New Hampshire. “We are pleased to honor these heroes at our Heroes Breakfast for their generosity, caring deeds and commitment to our New Hampshire community.”

Member of the community are encouraged to nominate heroes, from whom a committee will select about five. Nominate a hero at by Dec. 2.

The Heroes Breakfast will be 7:30-9 a.m., Thursday, March 6, at Southern New Hampshire University’s dining center conference facility, 2500 North River Road, Manchester. For more information visit
