Recount doesn’t change results in crowded Milford selectman’s race
MILFORD – A recount of the crowded ballot for Milford selectman led to no change in the results for most candidates and left incumbents Kathy Bauer and Mike Putnam as winners.
The recount was requested by Steve Sareault, whose tally of 620 votes left him just short of Putnam’s 638 and Bauer’s 640. Seven people ran for two open seats.
Town Clerk Peggy Langell said the Friday, March 21, recount moved three votes from Matt Bernard to Andrew Seale, but otherwise did not alter the results.
Sareault, a professional engineer and director of operations for a construction company, has served on the Planning Board and the Ambulance and Police Station Building committees. He also served one appointed year on the Board of Selectmen.
