Milford does ‘quite well’ for municipal building inspection

MILFORD – The New Hampshire Department of Labor recently inspected Milford’s municipal buildings over two days and the town “did quite well,” Town Administrator Guy Scaife told selectmen April 14.

One issue is ensuring the security of the welfare office, which is in the library annex, as well as the town clerk office and the tax collector office.

There are “strong indications” that welfare might be relocating to the SHARE building after SHARE’s addition is complete, he said.

It’s not clear, however, what the problem is with the town clerk’s space, Scaife said, and the tax collector’s area might be made more secure with a simple modification by a local contractor.

Milford will probably receive a written report within a few weeks, Scaife said.
