Preservation award goes to company that rehabed Pine Valley Mill in Milford
MILFORD – Dakota Partners, the Massachusetts company that rehabilitated the Pine Valley Mill into an apartment complex, has been awarded a 2014 Preservation Achievement award from the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance.
Now called the Pine Valley Lofts, the mill is near the Milford/Wilton border and was a 19th century textile mill.
The $11 million renovation by Dakota Partners was funded through a variety of private and government sources, including a $385,000 community development block grant.
The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance is the statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of New Hampshire’s historic buildings, landscapes and communities
There are 50 apartments and the first tenants were scheduled to move in in April.
The statewide award announcement of this year’s winners was Tuesday, May 13 at the Concord City Auditorium, 2 Prince St., Concord.
