GROUNDBREAKING AT FRES
WILTON – Although work on a new building to replace the Florence Rideout Elementary School began some weeks ago, the project was formally begun on Monday with groundbreaking ceremonies near the Tremont Street entrance to the original 1895 building.
Officials from the school district and Hutter Construction Company took part in the ceremony.
The first shovelful of dirt was moved by Vice-chairman Harry Dailey.
Chairman Geoff Brock said, “We are really excited about this project.”
