Let me take you down … Strawberry fields at Milford’s Spaulding Farm are open for picking
Less than a mile from the Milford Oval is Lull Farm’s Spaulding Farm, where long rows of strawberries are now ripe for picking. Boxes are provided, and the berries are $2 a pound. From the Oval drive west on Elm Street to West Street. Drive up West and right before the Bridge Community Church make a right turn onto Spaulding Street. The farm is about a quarter of a mile down the road.
Donald Hawes farmed the 62-acres for 45 years beginning in 1957, In 1982 he sold the development rights to the state of New Hampshire so the property will be farmland forever.
