Golf marathon in Amherst All day benefit tournament at Amherst Country Club

MILFORD – So you love to play golf? How about 100 holes, all in one day, or is that a bit much? But maybe you wouldn’t mind playing from dawn to dusk if it gave you a chance to win part of $13,000 in prize money, while helping build a better community.

That’s the offer from the Milford Rotary. The club will hold its 20th annual 100 Holes of Golf in One Day tournament July 25 at the Amherst Country Club.

Last year the event raised more than $85,000 in donations that were given out to nonprofit organizations, community projects and scholarships.

This year they already have a full complement of golfers, 60 signed up as of July 1, who all have to be out on the course by 6 a.m.

You don’t have to play to have a chance at the prize money. Raffle tickets are available for $20 each with 10 chances to win. Each ticket also includes coupons. The drawing will be done after the tournament, you do not have to be present to win.
