HPM Insurance in Milford helps fill SHARE backpacks
MILFORD – HPM Insurance will hold its third annual school supply and backpack drive to benefit SHARE Outreach of Milford.
To kick off the drive, HPM Insurance purchased 20 backpacks for the employees and insurance company partners to help fill.
Clients of HPM Insurance, as well as the public, also are welcome to drop off donations between now and August at the Milford office, 633 Elm St. The office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Besides backpacks, the executive director of SHARE, Christine Janson, indicated that students are typically in need of durable two-pocket folders, flash drives, notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil boxes, pencil sharpeners, erasers, crayons, markers, colored pencils, book covers, tape, glue sticks, filler paper, highlighters, calculators, anti-bacterial
wipes, boxes of tissues and rulers.
All items donated should be new and appropriate for any student from kindergarten through high school.
With the help of HPM Insurance last year, SHARE helped about 200 children in more than 100 families acquire school supplies. This year Janson anticipates the need will be the same or greater.
