Souhegan Chamber invites vendors to Milford Expo
MILFORD – The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce puts on an expo each year to introduce people to area businesses and organizations.
This year the big news is the day change – the chamber is moving the event from a Thursday to a Saturday, Oct. 18.
“Over the years, we heard comments from our business vendors that they would like to see more attendees, Chamber Director Tracy Hutchins said.
“With our event on a Thursday, even though it went into the evening, we felt that we were limiting our potential … moving the expo to a Saturday should bring in more attendees who have more time on the weekends.”
The Saturday hours are 10 a.m. -5 p.m., at the Hampshire Dome on Emerson Road.
And along with the day change, there will be more family-friendly activities, including activities for young children, such as bounce houses.
They are looking for entertainment for the entire family, such as magicians, balloon animals, and things that will appeal to kids while their parents visit the booths.
“We hope that attendees will come and spend a portion of the day with us,” Hutchins said, “seeing all the terrific businesses and organizations offered throughout our region, trying a lot of great food, and have fun.”
The chamber is looking for vendors. Interested businesses can download a booth application at www.souhegan.net. Booths are going fast, and it’s first come, first served.
