Kuster to open Democrats’ office in Milford
MILFORD – U.S. Representative Ann McLane Kuster will help open a regional office for Souhegan Valley Democrats this Saturday, Aug. 23.
Supporters are invited to gather at 10 a.m. at 54 Nashua St., Milford, opposite the Wadleigh Memorial Library. Light refreshments will be served.
This will be an opportunity to meet and hear from candidates for federal, state and county offices.
Graham Smith, chairman of the Amherst Democrats, said state representative and state senate candidates from Milford and surrounding towns “have been invited and most will come. There will probably by some county and Executive Council candidates as well.”
The primary election date is Tuesday, Sept. 9, and the elections will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Two representatives from the state of New Hampshire, one from each of the state’s two congressional districts will be elected and so will a governor and a U.S. Senator.
On the Milford ballot there will also be questions about a recreation land purchase and a teachers’ contract.
