Santa comes to Lyndeborough

LYNDEBOROUGH – In spite of the cold wind, dozens of residents turned out on Sunday afternoon to welcome Santa Claus to town.

As is traditional, Fire Chief Rick McQuade led the children in calling for Santa Claus: three loud shouts of “Santa.” In a few minutes they heard the fire truck bringing him up Route 31.

The lights on the town Christmas tree were turned on by five-year-old Madelyn Brown, assisting her great-grandfather Clayton Brown, a longtime resident of Perham Corner.

Following greetings, and numerous pictures, Santa and his friends retired to the warmth of Citizens’ Hall for refreshments, talks with Santa and lots more pictures.

The event was sponsored by the Fire Department Auxiliary.
