Walker is being held on $5,000 cash bail after his Thursday, Dec. 11, arrest that police say was the result of an investigation of his actions on the afternoon of Nov. 28 while he was minding the shop.
Walker was arraigned in Merrimack district court on Friday, Dec. 12, and is scheduled to appear in Milford district court on Dec. 31.
According to court papers, Walker had asked the 44-year-old customer, a stranger, for a hug, and when she complied, he hugged her tightly. She pushed him away and then he hugged her again, and she pushed him away again and then left the shop.
Walker and his wife, Karen Walker, owned Karen’s Kollectibles on the Oval for about 15 years, and after a short retirement, they recently moved into a nearby storefront and reopened the shop.
