File for town and school offices in Milford and Amherst
The filing period for town and school offices started Wednesday, Jan. 21 and ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30.
In Milford, there are two selectmen positions open, along with one cemetery trustee, three library trustees, one trustee of the trust funds and one water and wastewater commissioner. The hours for filing are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. except on Friday, Jan. 30, when the town clerk’s office will be open until 5 p.m. All terms are for three years.
In the school district, the only position open is for one school board member; a three-year term. Candidates must file with Joan Dargie, school district clerk. Call 233-0788.
In Amherst, the following town positions are open: Two selectmen for three years, one cemetery trustee for three years, two library trustees for three years, one supervisor of the checklist for one year, one town treasurer for three years, one trustee of the trust fund for three years and three zoning board of adjustment members for three years. File with the town clerk until 5 p.m., Jan. 30.
For the Amherst School District, there is one three-year school board position open, and candidates must file a declaration of candidacy with the school district clerk Catherine Jo Butler. Call 673-1925
For Mont Vernon, there are two, three-year positions on the school board open, as well as one-year terms for school district clerk, school district treasurer and school district moderator.

For the Souhegan School District, there is one, three-year school board term open.
Candidates must file a declaration of candidacy with Souhegan’s school district clerk, Catherine Jo Butler. Call 673-1925.
