Wilton library will hold photo talk, poetry event

WILTON – The Wilton Public and Gregg Free Library has two programs coming up this month:

At 7:30 p.m. May 20, the library will host an evening with Paul Wainwright as he shares his photography and love of history and architecture as shown through his images of colonial meetinghouses.

These iconic structures pepper the landscape of New England and stand as reminders of the region’s colonial past, when the meetinghouse was a center of civic life. The talk is free. This event is sponsored by the NH Humanities Council.

On May 27, the Stony Brook Poetry Group will meet at 7 p.m. Facilitator will be Destine Graf.

The purpose of this group is to provide positive feedback as directed by each member/writer. The suggested format is that each writer reads an original poem to the group and provides copies so that individuals can write comments and perhaps questions on the poem.

Bring six copies of one poem to the meeting.
