Hollis Area Equestrians to hold benefit Ice Cream Social

HOLLIS – The Hollis Area Equestrians will hold an Ice Cream Social from noon-3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at the Lawrence Barn, 28 Depot Road.

The group will serve ice cream sundaes with your choice of toppings for $3.50. This is a fundraiser for the group to benefit the upkeep of the Hollis Town Ring.

The Hollis Area Equestrian Club is a nonprofit group that supports, promotes and participates in equestrian activities in and around Hollis. It is based in Hollis and maintains the Hollis Town Ring.

Members include residents of Hollis, Brookline, Amherst, Milford and Nashua, and Dunstable, Pepperell and Townsend, Mass., as well as other neighboring towns in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The club holds activities such as an annual tack sale, spring and fall horse shows, trail rides, Old Home Days presentations and clinics with guest speakers. It makes charitable contributions to organizations that benefit animals, as well as other causes its membership chooses.
